Saturday, June 25, 2005 This week was my first without a job in two years. I decided to have my little ones remain in daycare until yesterday so I could get some work done around the house. It had gotten pretty bad so I thought it would be good to have unlimited time to do it. So I got everything but my room to where I can comfortably stand being there all day. It's going to take some time to purge the clutter I've managed to collect in there so overall I'm happy with what I accomplished. Besides cleaning I managed to sneak out of the house a couple days and spent some time with my friend Lori. She's (here comes a bit of fun) my DH's boss's fiancée. She’s a really sweet girl. We pretty much just chilled at Daniel's (DH's boss) house all day. She's one of those people that you meet that is automatically your friend. You just can't help it too. She's just easy to get along with. So is Daniel btw. I really enjoy being around the two of them. So anyway my DH is a pretty good poker player. He spent a lot of time learning how to be good and makes really good money doing it. Now of course he wants me to learn. I'm OK at it but I'm not a good loser so sometimes I get frustrated. For example a couple days ago I was down $35.00 at $3-$6 and was starting to get upset with myself. I don't tilt but I can feel the demon of distain creeping up my throat. I called Travis and told him. He just laughed it off and said "Oh don't worry about it sweetie, it's only 6 big bets." Darn money, it's not like it's coming from my bank account or anything, we keep it separate from our income. I just haven't gotten used to the idea of losing actual money yet. Oh well, tis the way of such things. Speaking of Poker and Daniel here's a funny picture of Hunter wearing a Stacked hat:  It's a new poker video game coming out sometime this fall.
